October Poetry Writing Month Day 6!
Day 6: Butterflies
Not going to lie, I found this one- not just the prompt but also following the style a bit difficult. As mentioned in my last poem, I am a hopeless romantic. So, this is what I came up with, if I have more time I'll definitely work on it again- but for now this will suffice :)
My Special Someone,
Wherever You Are
Half,
My better
You are out there
Sweep me off my feet
please
Love me for who I am
Yes you will
Hope
****
Distance
Far away
Who knows where you
are
To come face to face
with you
Get to know you, but not
too fast
Find me and think of
me
Search for me
Find
****
Note
Recognize Me
What you see in me
More than meets the
eye
A hopeless, young romantic
Waiting for that
special someone
Love and nothing else
Our time
Soon will come
Sincerely,
Aishah
You did a great job with this... I haven't even ventured in yet because like you I found it a bit daunting... The words here are whats important and they are beautifully done.
ReplyDeleteLeave it to me not to read instructions--mine wasn't really a Diamante.
ReplyDeleteYour poem nicely describes love gone right. I've only known the other kind.
Thank you both for your kind words!
ReplyDeleteI made up my own 'shadow' format, so well done to you for sticking with this one. I hope you find your soul mate. Be patient though, it took a while for mine to show up, but it's worth the wait. :) X
