Day 9: Lyrical Poetry 

I found lyrical poetry to be very challenging.. 

I like what I have so far and plan to add more to it!

I actually wrote 2! So, hope you enjoy both! :)

All Alone

The loneliness, oh the loneliness

I have stumbled upon this path of betrayal,

of failure, of love, of heart break

I have stumbled upon this path that is my life

I have stumbled upon this path all alone

Oh, I’m all alone.

My dreams shattered into pieces lay right before my eyes

I feel a sense of gloom that lies heavily above me

All the happiness is numb and my life is nowhere to be found

I am being punished for

Caring and

Trusting and

Loving.

Oh, and I’m all alone

I see no one for miles and miles

All I want to do is see some smiles.

In my dreams I saw friendship, success, love, and happiness-

All within my reach

Now I’m blinded by the pieces of a shattered dream.

I was here yesterday, and today I’m gone and all alone

This loneliness envelopes my every breath

Oh, I’m all alone.

The tears in my eyes

I can finally make them into cries

Oh, how did my strength turn into something so useless

I am now on a journey that led to this path

Everything I ever wanted

People wonder what it is I fell for

You bring out a side of me, I never knew existed

People are skeptical and think it’s all phased

But what you don’t know is that I’m a hopeless romantic

People wonder what is I fell for
