No Regrets, Just Sunsets
If there was no tomorrow,
I would want to know that I didn't leave every stone unturned.
I would want to know I made amends,
forgave, and was forgiven.
I would want to know I was charitable,
that I gave to those in need, not just things, even my time.
I would want to know that I had fun,
was reckless, yet safe, and enjoyed myself.
I would want to know I was affectionate,
loved by others, loved others, and loved myself.
I would want to know that I was respected,
that I respected others and they respected me.
I would want to know that people found me funny,
that I was able to make someone laugh.
I would want to know that I dealt with my emotions,
that I laughed, cried, and smiled
I would want to know that I took opportunity that came my way,
Small and big opportunities.
I would want to know that I conquered,
struggles, hurdles,
I would want to know I accomplished,
every goal I set.
I would to know that I did everything I could to live my life to the fullest.
If there was no tomorrow,
I would want to be remembered for who I am, not what I am.
If there was no tomorrow,
I wouldn't want any regrets.
Because as the sun sets, I know I have done everything I can throughout my journey.

I think sunsets have a lot of symbolism which is why I chose it for this poem,
because they are so beautiful and powerful.
