Did you know it is okay to cry? That it's actually healthy, and good for you as it's an emotional release? I am so sick and tired (and have been since high school) about the stigmas that come with 'crying'. You're perceived as weak. Well, girlfriend, I am here to tell you that that is simply not true.
Obviously, I've been writing a lot, but crying too. And I am not one bit ashamed to write about it or share it. Whether it's a few tears while listening to the most depressing bollywood song ever, or crying while the shower drains out the sounds, or even sobbing into my pillow. There's has been so much going on lately, that I've needed a release. A release that isn't fixed by writing, or going to the gym, or talking to my best friend. Heck, sometimes I cry while talking and then everything I'm saying turns into mumbo-jumbo. So. What.
After I cry, I feel so much better. Almost fine. Crying is not just a response to pain or sorrow. But crying helps me release stress, and helps me stay healthy...mentally. Crying can help you reduce your emotional stress, that if left, has a negative effect on our body as a whole.
I don't know about you, but sometimes, to get through some days, I need a good cry. Yeah, even on the days I don't wear waterproof mascara. If it helps ease my stress, and in the long run. You better bet I'm gonna cry. Go, take care of yourself, cry, eat some ice cream, watch a movie. Just cut yourself a break, will ya? You deserve it.
Have a lovely weekend!
