MY NEW CRUSH...THE DRYBAR BRUSH CRUSH! Does it really work?
"Your hair smells…burnt" That's something no girl ever wants to hear. Ever. It didn't take long for me to realize that my 2.5 year straightener is the culprit behind me having burnt, not-pretty smelling hair. I've been researching and looking at straighteners from Babyliss Pro to GHD to Paul Mitchell. But then I started seeing posts about Dry Bar on the 'Gram and the cutest bright {buttercup, to be exact} yellow products! So, when I heard about them dropping a straightening brush, I was intrigued but immediately thought "Welp, I have super thick hair this is yet again another product that won't work on my hair". The thing is because it's like 'bristles' it won't damage my hair as much as a flat iron does. I have super thick hair, and it's straight for the most part, I just always get a dent in the middle and it poofs up. So if I could use something lighter on my hair to just help maintain it, why not? I went into Sephora the day they were set to arrive in-store after having watched people use it, I chatted with my fave rep who told me to just give it a chance. I had already convinced myself, but thanks Kenny!
I picked up The Brush Crush Heated Straightening Brush and what kind of person would I be if I didn't give it a true try with their Hot Toddy heat protector ;) The next morning, I was super excited. After blow drying my hair (which takes a solid 30-45 minutes) I brushed my hair, made sure there were NO TANGLES. And split my hair, clipping them with the salon-style clips because they don't leave a dent, and sprayed the Hot Toddy Heat Protector {which smells so good}.
If you have questions about my experience with it, feel free to send me a message on any of my social media platforms, and of course give me a follow :)
